#13: Roller Girls at the Diner. Do you remember when the local drive-ins had girls who would bring your food out on skates? The A&W was our favorite in our town, and then the Parkette came in after that. We take the kids to Sonic these days to give them a taste of the old days, but it'll never be like it was in the 1950s!

#3: Saying the Pledge of Allegiance Every Morning. This really inspired patriotism back in the day, and we sure do miss it. It let us know that the day had started and gave us a good reminder of the privilege it was to be there in school.
