Veteran's Village.

On what is today the eastern edge of the Miami International Airport, the WWII troops are housed here, thus the name. After the war, families could rent a barracks, divided into 2 apartments. They were HOT and had a huge number of bugs, mostly cockroaches. Our family lived there for 6 months!
