POST WW II - GI HOMES IN JOHNSTOWN, PA
Following the end of World WW II and the return of US military to the States, thousands of marriages took place each day, which created a housing shortage for newly married couples and their children. To help alleviate this lack of housing, the US government quickly erected many of these pre-fabricated housing developments for families of veterans throughout the United States.
