From Jim Manley: "My great great grandfather William Henry Clear's ( sitting in the middle of the porch ) place in Carp Lake, Michigan sometime between 1911 and 1938"
From Ron Pat Crick: "This is a photo of Abner Senter Garfield Moore (1848-1927) and family. Probably 1890's. He was born in Cherokee, NC but later moved to Polk County, TN where he owned a large farm with a lot of livestock"
This is a photo of Abner Senter Garfield Moore (1848-1927) and family. Probably 1890's. He was born in Cherokee, NC but later moved to Polk County, TN where he owned a large farm with a lot of livestock. He is my 2nd grand uncle. So now I know where I got my handsome good looks. The US Census of 1900 shows his land and holdings worth about $15,000. A lot of money for that era when most other families showed only a few hundred dollars.
