#6: The Local Fair Was a BIG Deal! This late 1940s photo shows a perfect picture of what it was like at the local fair. We'd get as dressed up as we could afford and prepare to be marveled by the rides and games and food! Sometimes we couldn't afford much, but just going was fun!

#2: Push Button Car Radios. Yep, you may have forgotten this one, right?! I think we had one of these in our car until the early 1980s! Sometimes nowadays it feels like there are too many options - we kind of miss the days when we had our five pre-set stations and that was it!

#10: Hula Hooping Frenzy. We love this 1957 photo that captures just how crazy we all were for hula hooping for awhile!

#9: Standing on the Swings. It's a miracle all of us lived through some of the things we did as kids! One of the best things was standing on the swings and going as high as we could. Sure, we got some scratches and cuts sometimes, but also smiled and loved every minute of it.

#1: Ben Franklin Five and Dime Stores: Let's be honest - these stores were simply awesome!!! You may have had Woolworths in your town instead of the Ben Franklin, or perhaps one of the local variations that had just about everything. We loved going on Sundays! Hit "Next Photo" for the next one...

#5: Long Sunday Drives. This photo captures it all - the excitement of heading out for a long Sunday drive. Sometimes we'd go visit friends or family, but mainly we'd just get in the car and drive around town and the country and enjoy time together.
