Considered one of America's greatest Biblical Greek scholars. He taught 46 years at Southern Seminary in Louisville. His "Word Pictures" and Greek Grammar are still in use today as are his "Epoch" books (Life of Christ, Paul and John the Baptist). Son in Law to John A. Broadus, semimary co-founder.
