Second Lieutenant Arthur E Barks was born in 1915 in Providence County, Rhode Island and served with the 445th Bomber Group  Heavy as a navigator.

Arthur died December 22, 1943, and is listed as MIA. He is buried at American War Cemetery Margraten.

He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and Purple Heart.
