Daughter of Thomas Chittenden, first governor of Vermont. First husband was Elijah George Galusha, son of the second governor of Vermont, Jacob Galusha. Elijah is buried in the Episcopal Cemetery, Arlington, Vermont, along with their infant daughter, Lorenda Galusha, who died as an infant. Also buried here is the first wife of Matthew Lyon. Elijah Galusha went with his mother and stepfather, Matthew Lyon, to Kentucky. He married Lucy Throop and had at least one child, Cynthia Galusha, who later married William Parrent.
