Staff Sergeant Howard V Black was born in 1919 in East Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio and served with the 513th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

Howard died March 24, 1945, and is listed as KIA. He is buried at American War Cemetery Margraten.
