Staff Sergeant James L Barnett was born in 1911 in Hartford County, Connecticut and served with the 463rd Bomber Group ,Heavy as a left waist gunner.

James died July 8, 1944, and is listed as KIA. He is buried at American War Cemetery Ardennes.

He was awarded the Air Medal and Purpe Heart.
