JIM T. WHITAKER

Funeral services for Jim T. Whitaker, 69, of Oven Fork, were held Sunday at the residence. The Rev. I. D. Back and the Rev. Caleb Creech officiated. Burial was in the Whitaker Cemetery at Blackey.

Mr. Whitaker died Feb. 28 at Whitesburg Memorial Hospital. He was a son of Isaac and Matilda Hogg Whitaker. He was a member of Indian Bottom Regular Baptist Church at Blackey.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cuba Caudill Whitaker; eight children, Maywood Back, Blackey, and Jim T. Jr., Linda Jane, Julia Sue, John Wayne, Carolyn Joyce, Betty Jean and Jo Allen Whitaker, all at home; two brothers, Dr. Gid Whitaker, Whitesburg, and Less Whitaker, Texas, and a sister, Mrs. Julia Stamper.
