Staff Sergeant John J Noto was born in 1922 in Silver Creek, Chautauqua Couny, New York and served with the 358th Infantry Regiment as a rifleman.

John died November 21, 1944, and is listed as DOW. He is buried at American War Cemetery Henri-Chapelle.

He was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
