Captain John T Munroe was born in 1918 in Longmeadow, Hampden County, Massachustetts and served with the 33rd Armored Regiment as a company commander.

John died November 19, 1944, and is listed as KIA. He is buried at American War Cemetery Henri-Chapelle.

He was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.
