Sergeant Leon E Briggs was born in 1925 in Tahlequah, Cherokee County, Oklahoma and served with the 100th Bomber Group, Heavy as a tail gunner.

Leon died April 7, 1945, and is listed as KIA. He is buried at American War Cemetery Ardennes.
