Private First Class Nevin O Conaway was born in 1925 in Cherokee County, Alabama and served with the 331st Infantry Regiment as a medic.

Nevin died March 2, 1945, and is listed as KIA. He is buried at American War Cemetery Margraten.

He was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
