Corporal Robert A Rainey was born in 1925 in Gardiner, Kennebec County, Maine and served with the 33rd Armored Regiment.

Robert died March 2, 1945, and is listed as KIA. He is buried at American War Cemetery Henri-Chapelle.

He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
