Sergeant Virgil A Cast was born in 1915 in Torrance County, New Mexico and served with the 452nd Bomber Group, Heavy as a left waist gunner.

Virgil died February 10, 1944, and is listed as KIA. He is buried at American War Cemetery Margraten.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
