Private First Class William H Arledge was born in 1921 in Jefferson County, Alabama and served with the 506th Parachute Infantry  Regiment.

William died October 6, 1944, and is listed as MIA. He is buried at American War Cemetery Margraten.

He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
