The Quilting Clubs of the 1930s and 1940s (10 Photos)

During the last years of the Great Depression, various groups got together to chip in to create quilts for those still experiencing hard times.  The following photos depict some of these groups hard at work from 1936-1941.

Everyone from a family and the neighbors seen chipping in to make this quilt in a Wisconsin club in 1937.
